山あいに集落が続く狙半内（さるはんない）地域は、豪雪地帯です。
２人以上で作業を行うため、時々声を掛け合いながら雪降ろしをします。
命綱を着け、スノーダンプを巧みに使って屋根の雪を降ろします。
ちょっと休憩。ヘルメットに安全ベルトは基本装備です。
降ろした雪は、除雪機で速やかに飛ばします。
横手市狙半内(さるはんない)地域は、山あいに伸びる山村地域です。高齢者が多い集落を守るため、平成２４年に立ち上げたのが、狙半内共助運営体（奥山良治会長）です。地域の生活課題に取り組むこの共助組織の活動は、設立から１０年以上経過した今も継続されています。
冬は雪寄せや雪降ろしを順次行い、家屋の倒壊を防ぐ作業が必要なため、申し込みが多く重宝されています。また、買い物が困難な方々を支援するため、買い物バスも運行しています。
The Saruhannai area in Yokote City is a mountainous village region nestled among the hills. To protect the communities with many elderly residents, the Saruhannai Cooperative Union (chaired by Mr. Ryoji Okuyama) was established in 2012. This cooperative organization, which addresses various local living issues, has continued its activities for over 10 years since its establishment.
In winter, the union provides much-needed assistance with snow removal around houses and clearing snow from rooftops to prevent structural damage. These services are highly valued, with many requests from residents. Also, the union operates shopping buses for people who find it difficult to go shopping on their own.

特に決まった停留所はなく、乗る人に合わせて運行しています。
隣まちの大型スーパーマーケットからご協力をいただいています。
食料や生活用品をいっぱい買い込み、帰路に着きます。
こうした共助組織によって、地域住民の生活が支えられています。
