能代市檜山地域で、檜山こども冬まつりパート１８が行なわれました。暖冬が続いていたものの、降雪で一面真っ白になった檜山崇徳館の駐車場が会場です。神事から始まり、どんと焼き、そして参加者に温かいおしるこが振る舞われました。
The Hiyama Kids Winter Festival Part 18 took place in the Hiyama area of Noshiro City. Despite the warm winter this year, the Hiyama Soutokukan’s parking lot, where the event took place, was entirely covered in snow.
The festivities kicked off with a shito ceremony, followed by the traditional dontoyaki, where new year’s celebratory ornaments are burned in a bonfire. Then, participants even enjoyed warm oshiruko, a sweet red bean porridge with mochi.
子どもたちにとって、まつり本番（？）「そり競技」。タイムはありませんが、豪華景品付きです。
雪の中のみかん拾い。「もっと、みかんないかな」
雪上大型かるた大会。読み手が声を出したとたんに全速力で走り回ります。
最後は、輪になって「檜山音頭」。楽しいプログラムを終えた後は、輪になって「檜山音頭」を踊りました。まつりの余韻を楽しみながら静かに踊り、来年の開催を願いました。主催した「檜山地域まちづくり協議会」は、年間を通じて多彩なイベントを開催しており、地域の交流活動の一翼を担っています。
After the fun program, the attendees gathered to dance the “Hiyama Ondo” in a circle. Relishing the lingering joy of the aftermath of the festivity, they danced very quietly, while wishing for the prosperity of the next year’s event.
The organization, the Hiyama Area Community Development Committee, hosts various events like this throughout the year and continues to play a pivotal role in organizing various community-building activities.
