（県央）にかほ市 関地域 / Seki Area,Nikaho City

秋田市中心部から車で約１時間３０分。鳥海山と日本海に囲まれたにかほ市象潟町関地域の棚田には、黄金の稲穂が一面に実っていました。訪問時は稲刈りの最盛期で、あちらこちらにコンバインでの作業に汗を流す農家の方の姿がありました。
About an hour and a half drive from the center of Akita City – Surrounded by Mt. Chokai and the Japan Sea, the terraced rice fields in the Seki area of Kisakata town in Nikaho City are covered with golden ears of rice. At the time of my visit, rice harvesting was at its peak, I saw farmers everywhere, working very hard with combine harvesters.
毎年11月には、農業が無事に終わることに感謝する「収穫祭」が行われるなど、地域住民により伝統が継承されています。近くには、天然記念物「九十九島」や、平成の名水百選「元滝伏流水」など自然風景を楽しめるスポットも！
Every year in November, a thanksgiving festival is held to give thanks for the successful completion of farming, whose tradition is passed down by the local residents. There are also spots nearby where you can also enjoy the natural scenery, such as the natural monument “the Kujuku Islands”, and “the Mototaki waterfall,” designated as one of the 100 best waters of the Heisei era!
