11月､大仙市椒沢地域で｢スイセンの球根植えと蛍幼虫の餌の放流｣活動が行われました｡
In November, an event called “Daffodil bulbs planting and Firefly Prey Release” was held in the Hatsukamisawa area of Daisen City.
地域住民総出に地域外からの応援もあり、賑やかに農道両脇にスイセンの球根を植えました｡
Many residents gathered and people from outside the community have also joined in. They merrily planted the daffodil bulbs along both sides of the agricultural road.
また、近年蛍の数が減少していたため、再度蛍がたくさん見られる地域にしようと水のきれいなせせらぎ二ヶ所に､蛍幼虫の餌になる巻貝の一種「カワニナ」を放流しました｡来年夏、蛍の乱舞が見られるのを楽しみにして作業を終えました。
The number of fireflies has been decreasing in recent years. To make the area full of fireflies again next year, the participants released “Kawanina,” a type of snail that can be prey for the firefly larvae, into the two streams with clear water. They finished the work, looking forward to seeing the firefly dance next summer.
