（県北）藤里町横倉地域 / Yokokura Area in Fujisato Town

５月２６日、藤里町横倉地域の天空の棚田で棚田オーナー１０名による田植えが行われました。この日は晴天に恵まれ北日本で猛暑でしたが、横倉は標高が高く心地よい風もあり爽快な田植えを行うことができました。開始から数分間は皆さん無言で田植えに夢中です。

On May 26th, 10 owners of terraced rice fields planted rice in Tenku-no-tanada ("terraced rice fields in the sky") of Yokokura area in Fujisato town.

On this day, we were blessed with a clear sky, while we were hit by a heat wave in northern Japan. Yokokura area is at high altitude, so we were able to feel refreshed with a comfortable breeze. The participants lost themselves in planting rice and remained silent during the first few minutes.

天空の棚田に、里地里山の風・水・小鳥のさえずりしか聞こえない時間の中、参加者の足元には、元気なおたまじゃくしたち。横倉にはいつ見ても変わらない原風景が残っています。

All they could hear were the wind, water, and chirping of the birds in the mountains and villages of Tenku-no-tanada. Tadpoles were swimming around their feet. In Yokokura, there's always the scenery that will never change.
