（県南）羽後町 中飯沢地域 / Nakaiizawa Area, Ugo Town

秋田県雄勝郡羽後町の中飯沢地域は、町役場から南西に１０ｋｍ、標高１５０～２５０ｍの山間に位置します。傾斜地の約５７ｈａの水田を地域住民一丸となって景観や環境を保全する活動を行っています。
Nakaiizawa area in Ugo Town, Ogachi County, Akita Prefecture is situated in the mountains, 10 km southwest of the town hall at an altitude of 150-250 meters. There, local residents jointly carry out activities to conserve the scenery and the environment of a 57ha sloped rice paddies.
集落の一角に築１００年を超える茅葺き民家（国指定重要文化財の鈴木家住宅）があり、５月下旬に訪れた時は白藤が花を咲かせており、古民家とのコントラストが異彩を放っていました。
In a corner of the village, there is a 100-year-old thatched roof house (the Suzuki residence, designated as a national important cultural property). We visited there in late May, when white wisteria was in bloom, which contrasted well with the old minka (private house).
