（県南）横手市 塚須沢地域／Tsukasuzawa in Yokote city

６月３日（土）、横手市大森町塚須沢地区で、棚田オーナー恒例の「春感体験」（田植え体験ほか）が行われました。これは、棚田オーナーに申し込んだ人が参加できるイベントです。田植えは、棚田オーナー会員１４名の他、秋田大学から留学生を含む学生・教官２６名が参加しました。

There was an annual event called “Feel Spring” in Omori town-Tsukasuzawa in Yokote city on June 3rd. Applicants for the owner of a rice field can take part in this event. 14 rice field members and 26 people from Akita University, including a few internationals, participated in the rice planting.

学生のほとんどが田植えは初体験で、裸足で田んぼに入ると、ヌルッとした泥の感触に「キャ～」とこわごわでしたが、終盤には慣れて２時間ほどで田植えが終了しました。体験の後は、地元のお母さんたちが丹精込めて作ってくれたお弁当をみんなでいただきました。

Almost every student did rice planting for the first time in their life so they screamed when their bare feet touched muddy soil. As time passes they got used to it and after 2 hours the event ended. Lastly, all the participants had lunch box from local mothers after the event.

田植え体験のあと、棚田オーナーは、地元のお母さんたちと桜餅づくりに挑戦しました。おいしくできたかな？
