（県央）男鹿市 安全寺地域／Anzenji in Oga city

安全寺自治会長である安田氏の開会宣言で、恒例の稲刈りが行われ、参加者は秋晴れの中気持ちの良い汗を流していました。
今年は台風の被害もなく「例年以上の豊作」ということで、鎌を持つ手も軽やかでした。しかし、リピーターの参加者たちは、一年たつと稲束の結び方を思い出せず、地元のベテランたちから、冷やかされながら教わっていました。

The annual rice harvest kicked off with the opening declaration from the resident chairman of Anzenji, Mr. Yasuda, and participants worked under the clear autumn skies.
Harvest was abundant this year – thanks to a year free of typhoon damage – so swift were the movements of the reaping scythe.The local experts chuckled as they taught repeating participants how to tie the rice into sheaves – harvest partakers had completely forgotten how to do so over the course of a year.

「だまこ鍋」で昼食を終えた後は、さつま芋掘りで楽しい一日を終了しました。

After having an appetizing lunch over “Damako Nabe”, they ended their perfect day by gathering sweet potatoes.
