真人山を囲むようにリンゴ畑が広がっています。平鹿りんごの産地です。
真人山（まとやま／標高390ｍ）を囲む一帯は秋田県有数のリンゴ産地です。真人山を含む真人公園は地域から親しまれており、桜まつり、たらいこぎ競争、りんごまつりなどが行われています。ここで、今年で３年目となる「釣りキチ三平の里自然体験塾」の企画の中で、「晩秋の真人山を自然観察」が11月に開催されました。
The region surrounding Mt. Mato (“Matoyama”/elevation 390 meters) is one of Akita Prefecture’s leading apple producing areas. The Mato Park, which encompasses Mt. Mato, is embraced by the local community, hosting various evens such as cherry blossom festivals, tub boat races, and the apple festival.

普段の観察会では、キノコ採取はしませんが、生まれて初めて見るなめこに触れたり少しだけ取ってみたりする体験をしました。

増田ネイチャークラブの全面的な協力のもと、この日は真人山の地形、草木に動物など、また真人三十三観音の由来を熱心に学びました。
In the third year of “Tsurikichi-sanpei’s Village Nature Experience School” project, an event called “Nature Observation of Mt. Mato in Late Autumn” was held in November. With the full cooperation by the Masuda Nature Club, participants on this day studied about the terrain of Mt. Mato, its flora and fauna, as well as the origin of Mato-sanjusankannon (the Thirty-Three Kannon Statues).
